Biography

2014 (Junior Season): Enters senior season with the Truman career record in stolen bases with 60 and attempts with 81…is 22nd among active Division II players in stolen bases…was second behind Corban Williams for the Truman single-season record with 31 steals in 43 attempts…set new program standards in at bats (196), games started with 54 and tied for most walks with 31…was 18th in the nation in stolen bases…hit .291 with six doubles and 24 RBIs out of leadoff spot and splitting time between second and third base…had 17 multi-hit games, second most on the team and six games of three hits…reached base in 14 straight games, third most on the team and ended the season on an 11-game reached base streak…tied a program record with three stolen bases against Rockhurst (Mo.) on April 26 and Hillsdale (Mich.) on March 9…drove in four runs, going 3-for-3 at the plate, in an 8-7 victory over Lincoln on April 8...named Academic All-GLVC.

2013 (Sophomore Season): One of three Bulldogs to play and start in all 46 games, 28 at shortstop, 10 at DH and eight at second base…hit .253 with six extra base hits, including a home run against Northeastern State on February 24…led the team with 15 stolen bases in 21 attempts…reached base in 16 straight games and had an eight-game hitting streak…had nine multi-hit games…named to the MIAA Commissioners Academic Honor Roll.

2012 (Freshman Season): Started 45 of 46 games played while hitting .281 with five doubles and 19 runs batted in…had two six-game hitting streaks…had a 4-for-4 day with a triple and drove in three runs in the Bulldogs 4-2 win over Northwest Missouri on March 31…had nine multi-hit games as a true freshman…was second on the team with 99 assists and led the team in stolen bases with 14 out of 17 attempts…was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

High School: In the summer of 2010, Larkin hit .433 with two home runs, 20 RBIs and had 28 stolen bases…he was one of DeSmet’s team captains as a junior and received the Minds in Motion Award…he earned first honors academically at DeSmet and does community service with the North County Head Start and the Luke 18 Retreat…
