Biography

2014 (Junior Season): A breakout season on the mound with a team-leading five wins in eight starts and 18 apperances…posted a 3.16 ERA in 62.2 innings pitched while also leading the squad with three saves…his five wins ties for fifth on the Truman single-season record charts and enters his senior year tied for seventh in career saves with four…started his final eight appearances going 4-3 down the stretch…tossed a season-high eight innings in a Bulldog 4-3 victory over Maryville (Mo.) on April 11…picked up two saves in consecutive outings in weekend series with Indianapolis (Ind.)…fanned a season-high eight in seven innings of work against Missouri-St. Louis on April 19, it was the sixth most strikeouts by a Bulldog pitcher in a game.

2013 (Sophomore Season): Tossed 21 innings in relief with nine strikeouts in 14 games…got the win in relief against Lindenwood on April 9, throwing two innings in a 12-8 victory…pitched three innings on three occasions.

2012 (Freshman Season): Pitched in relief in six games for a total of 10-plus innings…struck out a season high three in a four inning outing against Northwest Missouri on April 1.

High School: In nearly 100 career innings pitched, Gardner is 10-3 with a 2.81 ERA and has fanned 72 hitters while walking just 27…He was a 2010 first team all-District selection.
 
Personal: He is the son of Mike and Cindy Gardner and plans to major in Exercise Science/Sports Management.
