Biography
2012 (Junior Season): Started 17 of 25 games…went 2-for-3 in Truman’s 5-3 victory over Missouri S&T on February 26…was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
2011: (Sophomore Season) Named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll…started in 32 games for the Bulldogs and saw playing time in 38 games…posted a .928 fielding percentage primarily on the left-side of the infield…tallied 13 RBI’s with 24 total bases…one homerun during the year on April 5th, 2011 against Lincoln University.
2010: (Freshman Season) Primarily in the 8th spot in the line-up for the Bulldogs, Howe hit .211 for the year…played in all 53 games, started in 52 acting as the teams main third baseman…had a five game hitting streak during the season and 31 hits.
High School: A three-time first-team all-conference performer at Northeast Community High School in Clinton ... was a four-year varsity starter at the middle infield positions ... hit .470 in high school and drove in 114 runs batted in ... posted a 21-6 career mark with eight saves and a 1.66 earned run average ... had 227 strikeouts with only 40 walks issued in three years as a pitcher ... named to the all-district team twice and was a second team all-state selection ... also was a four-year track letterwinner, with a state championship in the 4x800 relay, the starting quarterback on the school’s football team, and was twice named to the all-district team and a two-year letterwinner in basketball.
Personal: Born May 3, 1990, in Clinton, Iowa, and is the son of Jeff and Teri Howe ... is studying Mathematics/Secondary Education at Truman.
