COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Truman swimming teams competed in the second day of the Mizzou Invitational on Saturday. The women had nine NCAA Division II B-Cut times while the men recorded two.
Beth Eyanson placed 12th in the 100 Back to earn a B-time of 58.49 while Stacey Wymer finished right behind in 13th and which was also a B-time of 58.63.
Three Bulldogs recorded times in the 400 IM. Taylor Birsa was 16th with a time of 4:34.50 while Allison Harding was 19th in 4:39.23 and Julia Jones in 20th in 4:39.84.
Casey Jepsen was 13th in the 200 Free while Tanya Sylverster recorded her B-time in 1:54.82 in the same event.
Jessica Jenkot and Margaux Kent rounded out the B-cut performances for the women in the 100 Breast.
On the men's side, Jerod Simek continued his strong meet with a B-cut time in the 400 IM as he touched the wall in 4:05.93. Matthew Fletcher finished 17th and also recorded a B-time in the 400 IM.
The top placing individual on the men's side was Tony Hernandez as he placed 12th in the 100 Breast in a time of 59.07.
The teams will compete the events on Sunday.
