Prior to the meet, eight seniors were honored, seven on the women's side and one on the men's side. Women's seniors were Emily Buss, Anna Grinter, Julia Jones, Claire Myers, Stephanie Myers, Carina Pautz and Tanya Sylvester while James Barber was the lone men's senior.

The teams will amp up training as the women will look to defend their conference title at the upcoming New South Intercollegiate Championships on Feb. 9-12 in Cleveland, Miss. The women have finished first or second in a conference championship since the 1988-89 season, while the men will be seeking their first title.
