Box Score | Season Stats

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - The Truman volleyball team grabbed a 3-1 (-20, -18, 12-25, -21) victory against Northwest Missouri State on Friday night, backed by 14 kills and 12 digs from freshman Allie Brak and a nine-kill, seven-block outing from junior Megan Sharpe.

The Bulldogs cruised through sets one and two, committing just two errors in each set and topping .375 hitting each time to take a 2-0 lead into the intermission.

The third set was all Northwest, as the Bearcats used an 8-0 run at the start of the set to get back in the match with a 25-12 set win.

However, in a back-and-forth fourth set, it was Truman that came from a 20-18 deficit to score seven of the final eight points and nab a 25-21 fourth set decision.

Brak's 14 kills tied for the match-high, as the Bulldogs – hindered by a sluggish third set – hit .209 for the match. Sharpe and senior Molly Sinclair each added nine kills, with Sharpe's coming on a .438 attack line and a match-high seven block assists.

Senior Kylie Easlon led the 'Dogs with 24 assist and a pair of aces, while freshman libero Abby Moser logged 24 digs to lead all players. Truman out-blocked the Bearcats 10-7 for the night, as senior Erin Burmester added four block assists and Brak picked up two solos. Senior Johanna Ruff hit .250 with four kills, playing three sets.

Truman returns to action on Saturday (Nov. 5) night in St. Joseph when they take on Missouri Western at 7:00 pm.
