KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State volleyball will open the 2026 season with back-to-back tournament trips before returning to Pershing Arena for its home opener as part of a competitive fall schedule.
The Bulldogs begin the season at the Fort Hays State Tournament in Hays, Kan., where they will play four matches in three days. Truman opens against host Fort Hays State University on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs will then face Midwestern State University Texas at noon and Eastern New Mexico University at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, before closing the tournament against Regis University on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 9:30 a.m.
Truman will remain on the road the following week for the Pittsburg State Tournament in Pittsburg, Kan. The Bulldogs open the event against host Pittsburg State University on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m., then continue tournament play against Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11:30 a.m. Truman closes the weekend with two matches on Friday, Sept. 4, facing Arkansas Tech University at 9 a.m. and Missouri Southern at 4:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs make their home debut on Friday, Sept. 11, when they host Newman University at 10 a.m. inside Pershing Arena as part of the Truman State Tournament. Maryville University and Newman will meet later that afternoon at 2 p.m., before Truman faces off against GLVC opponent Maryville at 6 p.m.
Truman's first GLVC road weekend sends the Bulldogs to Missouri S&T on Friday, Sept. 18, for a 6 p.m. match in Rolla, Mo., followed by a Saturday, Sept. 19, contest against Maryville University in Chesterfield, Mo., at 3 p.m.
The Bulldogs return home for a key conference weekend against two traditional GLVC powers, hosting the University of Indianapolis on Friday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. and Lewis University on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m.
October begins with a road swing to the St. Louis area, as Truman visits the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. before traveling to McKendree University on Saturday, Oct. 3, for a 3 p.m. match. The Bulldogs then return to Pershing Arena to host William Jewell College on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. and Rockhurst University on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m.
Truman will step outside GLVC play for the Midwest Region Crossover Tournament on Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, in Bay City, Mich. The annual event brings together programs from across the region and provides the Bulldogs with valuable postseason-caliber competition in the middle of the conference season.
The final road-heavy stretch begins with trips to Drury University on Friday, Oct. 23, and Southwest Baptist University on Saturday, Oct. 24. Truman will then close its home schedule with two matches at Pershing Arena, hosting the University of Illinois Springfield on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. and Quincy University on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs conclude the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 7, with a 3 p.m. road match at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa.
