The Lady Blues (19-3; 12-1 MIAA) used an 11-0 and a 9-0 run in the first half sparked by Tiara George off the bench. George scored four points and had four of her five rebounds during a two minute span that saw Washburn's lead go from three to 11 points.

Later in the period,
Daniels (Ridgedale, Mo., Hollister) again dialed in from three to trim the lead to 11 and following a pair of free throws by
Sharpe (Edwardsville, Ill., Edwardsville), the margin was below double-digits at 57-48 with 4:55 left.
Daniels made it seven on Truman's next possession but Ebonie Williams took control and buried a jumper at the 3:58 mark to push the lead back to nine.
Allie Norton (Bloomington, Ill., Central Catholic) made a pair of free throws to bring it back to seven and Truman got a turnover by Williams with under two to play.
Jennifer Conway's (Waterloo, Ill., Waterloo) attempt to make it a two possession game fell short and the Lady Blues were able to go 8-of-10 from the foul line in the final minute to preserve the series split.
Daniels was the only Bulldog in double-figures with her season-high 18 as the senior went 7-of-12 from the field with four three-pointers. Daniels added six rebounds but as a team, Truman lost the rebounding battle 43-31.
