SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - - After getting a game-tying goal with just more than seven minutes to play in regulation, the Truman men's soccer team couldn't pick up a road point and suffered a 2-1 double-overtime loss at the hands of No. 25 Drury on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers (10-3, 7-3 GLVC) took an early lead, getting a 12th-minute goal to go ahead 1-0 on the Bulldogs (6-4-2, 4-4-2 GLVC). Truman would fight to even the score for more than 70 minutes, finally getting through in the 83rd minute when senior Dylan Carter scored his fourth goal of the season off an Austin Hayden assist to even the match at 1-1.

Following the end of regulation and the first overtime session, Drury came out a winner with a golden goal in the 102nd minute, as Adam Heiligenstein headed home his first goal of the season.

DU held an 18-8 advantage in total shots, including an 8-3 edge in shots on goal, despite Truman earning six corner kicks to the Panthers' five.

Nick Tolmais led all Bulldogs by taking three total shots, while keeper Drew Garrone made six saves.

The Bulldogs return to Kirksville on Friday (Oct. 18) to kick off Homecoming weekend with a 2:30 pm match against Bellarmine (Ky.). The Knights are 7-3-2 overall (5-3-2 GLVC) after a 1-1 road weekend at Indianapolis and Saint Joseph's.
