KIRKSVILLE - - Matt Langley and Chris Mansfield connected twice, which was all the Truman men's soccer team needed to overcome a one-goal deficit en route to a 2-1 home win against UW-Parkside on Sunday afternoon.

After the Rangers (3-2-1, 1-2-1 GLVC) got out to a 1-0 lead in just the sixth minute, Langley scored his second goal of the season just before the half off a cross by Mansfield.

Then, in the 62nd minute, Mansfield fired a free kick into the box, which Langley headed into the twine to put Truman (4-2, 2-2 GLVC) ahead for good against visiting UWP.

Despite the Rangers out-shooting Truman 14-10, the Bulldogs held a 6-5 edge in shots on goal behind two apiece by Langley and Zach Hollstrom. Drew Garrone posted four saves in goal to earn his fourth win of the season.

The Bulldogs hit the road for two matches next weekend, beginning on Friday (Sept. 27) night at 6:30 pm (Central) against the University of Indianapolis. The Greyhounds have won three straight and are part of a three-way tie for first place in the league with 10 points at 3-0-1.
