Box Score (Truman 3-0)

KENOSHA, Wis.  - - The 14th-ranked Truman volleyball squad hit .320 and jumped out to early leads in all three sets on Sunday afternoon at UW-Parkside, downing the Rangers 3-0 (-11, -20, -15) to split its weekend road trip.

The Bulldogs (6-4, 1-1 GLVC) bounced back from a GLVC-opening loss at Lewis on Saturday night by dominating from start to finish at Parkside (7-4, 1-1 GLVC), building leads of 11-3, 8-2 and 12-3 to never be threatened in Sunday's contest. Sophomore Abby Heise led all players with 10 kills and a .643 hitting percentage, while junior Allie Brak added nine kills and a pair of aces.

Truman sided-out at a 70% clip to halt any UWP comeback efforts and held the host squad to just a .083 hitting mark on the afternoon. Junior Meghan Zimmerman paced the 'Dogs with 25 assists, and senior Heather Hargadine led all Bulldogs with 11 digs.

After a seven-state, 3,500-mile road trip  that spanned three weekends at the outset of the 2013 campaign, the Bulldogs will have their home opener this coming Wednesday (Sept. 25) night at 7:00 pm against long-time in-state rival Central Missouri. The Jennies will come into Wednesday night's match with a 12-0 record and are currently ranked No. 6 in the nation.
