Men's Soccer Recap: Maryville 1, Truman 0

ST. LOUIS - - Maryville's Zach Kos bounced a ball in off the left goal post with 22 minutes to play, and the Truman men's soccer team couldn't find the late equalizer in a 1-0 loss on Sunday afternoon at Maryville Field.
 
After the Saints (5-8-4, 4-8-2 GLVC) out-shot Truman (5-10-1, 4-9-1 GLVC) 3-0 in the first half, the Bulldogs had turned the tables and applied the early pressure throughout the first 20 minutes of the second half. Truman put four shots on target and earned four corner kicks early; however, the Saints broke through in the 68th minute with an unassisted goal from Kos.
 
The Bulldogs would take three more shots in the final 20 minutes, but Maryville held on for the victory on Sunday afternoon.
 
Jeremy Rehagen led the Bulldogs with two shots, while Drew Garrone posted four saves in net. Each team was issued one yellow card, while the foul count was 20-18 Truman.
 
Truman closes its 2014 season on Wednesday night when it visits 6th-ranked Quincy at 7:30 p.m.
