KIRKSVILLE - - The Truman and Southern Indiana men's soccer teams battled to a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon, as the Bulldogs ran their season-long shutout streak to 290 minutes.

The Bulldogs (2-0-1, 1-0-1 GLVC) out-shot USI (1-2-1, 0-1-1 GLVC) 11-7 for the day but couldn't find the game-breaking goal to help the team complete weekend sweep of six points. Truman came close on multiple tries, including a pair of close attempts by freshman Nate Luebbert in the second half and second overtime.

Meanwhile, the Truman defense continued its red-hot start to the season, as keeper Drew Garrone made two saves of USI attempts to earn his third shutout of the season.

Truman took 10 corner kicks – including eight in the first half – to just six for USI but was whistled for 18 fouls to USI's 15 on the day.

The Bulldogs return to action next Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at McKendree. The Bearcats have started the season 1-2-1 overall (1-1 GLVC), earning a split at Maryville and Mo.-St. Louis this weekend.
