LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - A 57th minute own goal by the Truman men's soccer team proved to be the difference maker on Sunday afternoon, as the Bellarmine Knights kept the Bulldogs from a perfect road weekend with a 2-1 setback.

The Bulldogs (3-1-1, 2-1-1 GLVC) got on the board first when freshman Nate Luebbert finished a Blake LaTendresse cross in the 15th minute for his first collegiate goal.

In the 24th minute, however, the Knights (3-3-1, 1-2-1 GLVC) earned a penalty kick and converted to even the score.

A Bulldog miscue in the 57th minute put BU ahead, and despite a pair of attempts in the final minutes, Truman suffered its first loss of the season.

The teams each took 14 shots, with Bulldog keeper Drew Garrone making five saves. The two BU goals were the first surrendered by the 'Dogs this season.

Truman returns to Kirksville this Friday – battling Drury at 3:30 p.m. at the Bulldog Soccer Park.
