KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - The Truman men's soccer team got a goal from both Austin Hayden and Tony Luedecke; however, a fast start by Drury sent the visiting Panthers to a 4-2 win in Kirksville on Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (3-2-1, 2-2-1 GLVC) fell behind in the third minute, as DU (6-1, 4-1 GLVC) proceeded to build a 3-0 lead through 32 minutes of action at the Bulldog Soccer Park.

Truman got on the board before the halftime break, though, when Hayden drew a foul in the box after getting past a DU defender and then converted a penalty kick for a 3-1 Panther lead.

DU would push the margin back to three in the 72^nd minute, before a Luedecke header in the 84^th minute pulled the 'Dogs to within two once more. Luedecke's finesse goal was assisted by Jake Brown.

The two teams shared a nearly similar shot count (18-15 DU), however the Panther controlled the shots on goal tally by a 9-3 count. Luedecke's five shots led all Bulldogs, while John Lee added three attempts.

Truman returns to action on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. when it hosts Missouri S&T at the Bulldog Soccer Park. The Miners will bring a 2-4-1 (1-3-1 GLVC) record to Kirksville after a loss at Quincy on Friday night.
