KIRKSVILLE - - The Truman women's swim team toppled Div. I St. Louis University in the 2015 home finale on Friday night, as the Bulldogs notched a 156-106 dual victory against the Billikens while the men fell 195.5-66.5. Earlier in the day, the Bulldog men also battled Missouri S&T to a 129-76 Miner win.

The Bulldog women won nine events in their Friday night battle with SLU, as Evyn Spencer's four first-place finishes in the 100 Fly, 100 Free, 200 Free, and as the anchor of the 200 Free Relay highlighted the Bulldogs' night. The quartet of Alison Strickler, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Loriel Hutchinson and Strickler capped off a fantastic night for Truman in the 200 Free Relay, stamping the team's 50-point dual victory.

Abby Hempen and Jasmine Roghair each touched the wall first on a pair of tries, as Hempen was victorious in both the 100 and 200 Breast events, while Roghair dominated the long events, winning first in both the 500 Free while leading a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place set of finishes for the 'Dogs in the 1000 Free. Grace Fodor, Hannah Nicks, and Taylor Voelker also posted a top-three run of Bulldogs in the 200 Back.

Meanwhile, in the night session with SLU, both Joel Schawe (1000 Free) and Will Shanel (200 IM) each nabbed first-place spots for the Truman men. That dual followed up an early afternoon dual against Missouri S&T, where the Bulldogs earned three first-place finishes in the 11-event meet.

Schawe (1000 Free) and Shanel (200 Fly) were winners in the afternoon as well, with Tim Regan (200 Back) also notching a first-place finish for the Bulldogs against the Miners. Riley Brown finished right behind Regan in the 200 Back, as the Bulldog men had a combined eight first- and second-place finishes in the meet.

The Bulldogs – who recognized seniors Etienne Thro, Andrew Tuisl, Lars Winkelmolen and Abby Hempen during the SLU meet – face a quick turnaround on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Missouri State for a 3 p.m. set of duals against the Div. I Bears.
