  • A physical contest finally saw a team break through in the scoring column in the 58th minute when Truman's Corey Nolte converted a penalty kick for his second goal of the season.  The Bulldogs earned it when SJC's Branden Thompson picked up a yellow card for a foul in the box.
  • Less than two minutes later, Truman's Trevor Kaufmann sprinted on a long run and finished after a pass from Ben Nivala for the team's second goal of the game and a 2-0 cushion.
