RECAP: Truman 1, UW-Parkside 1 (2 OT)

KENOSHA, Wis. – Joel Reft's first goal of the year came at the most opportune time as he scored with just under seven minutes left to give the Truman Men's Soccer team a 1-1 road draw with the University of Wisconsin Parkside on Friday afternoon.

The Ranges (5-6-2, 3-6-2 GLVC) got on the board in the first half when Antonio Gonzalez scored his fourth goal of the year on a pass by Alberto Gonzalez with six minutes left.

Truman ratcheted up the offensive pressure in the late goings and got a corner kick in the 83rd minute. Brian Kane sent the ball into the area and Reft was able to flick it on goal and into the net for the equalizer.

In the first overtime, UWP had three corner kick opportunities but were not able to get off any shots while Tristyn Hasmer had a chance for Truman that went wide left.

Zac Suazo stopped Vic Vera with a save in the second 10 minutes and had to ward off four corner kick situations by the Rangers for time expired on the draw.

Truman is now 3-5-2 in the GLVC and 5-5-3 overall. The Bulldogs will head to Lewis (Ill.) University on Sunday for a noon match with the Flyers.
