KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - After giving up a goal to Indianapolis just five minutes and 32 seconds into the match, the Truman men's soccer team rallied back in the 75th minute to tie things up and that's where the score stood after the final buzzer.
The Bulldogs' record now sits at 5-5-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the GLVC while the Greyhounds are now 6-3-3 on the season and 4-3-3 in conference play.
The visitors' goal in the sixth minute came from Benjamin Sierra, his third of the season, on an assist by Evan Smith. After that, the score stayed like that for quite awhile before
Matt Yankowitz (pictured) had different plans at the 74:57 mark.
That score for Yankowitz gives him three on the year, which is tied for the team lead, and he was assisted by
Derek Merry's first helper of 2016. In goal,
Zac Suazo got the start and played all 110 minutes with three saves on 12 shots faced.
Next up, Truman travels to Wisconsin-Parkside on Oct. 14 with kickoff set for 12 p.m.
