QUINCY, Ill. - The Truman State University men's soccer team opened its 2017 campaign against No. 17 Lindenwood at a tournament hosted by Quincy. The Lions scored once in the first half and twice in the second en route to a 3-0 decision over the Bulldogs.
Truman was out-shot by Lindenwood 7-1, including 4-1 in shots on goal, each goalie tallied one save, and the Bulldogs led in corner kicks, 6-3. The Purple and White's one shot came from
Jeremy Rehagen right before halftime in the 44th minute.
Another tough test awaits Truman on Sunday as the Bulldogs will stay in Quincy to face No. 19 Saginaw Valley State with the start time slated for 12 p.m.
