QUINCY, Ill. - The Truman State University men's soccer team faced a ranked opponent for the second-straight match on Sunday in the form of No. 19 Saginaw Valley State. The Cardinals tallied one goal in the first half and two more in the second en route to a 3-0 decision over the Bulldogs.
Truman (0-2) was out-shot 10-3 by Saginaw Valley State (2-0), but held the upper hand in corner kicks by a count of 6-2. In goal,
Zac Suazo registered three saves to one for the Cardinals goalie, Connor Keane. The Saginaw Valley State scores came in the 16th, 62nd and 66th minutes of play.
For the Bulldogs, their three shots came from three different players including
Jeremy Rehagen (on goal),
Michael Ruzicka and
Zach Vahlkamp.
