Columbia, Mo.—The Truman Men's Swimming team opened their season at the Show Me Showdown in Columbia Friday, hosted by the University of Missouri. They were one of 11 teams competing in the events, and took ninth place with 43 points.
Lliot Gieseke placed 14th in the 50 meter freestyle to earn four points, joined by teammate Jack McCormick who placed 32nd. Gieseke also earned points in the 100 yard freestyle with a 16th place finish to earn two points with a time of 47.84.
