KIRKSVILLE, Mo.--The Bulldogs are on a hot streak as they have won three in a row and are searching for their fourth straight win Tuesday as they host Quincy at Pershing Arena with a 7:30 p.m. tip in their conference opener.

Brodric was named the GLVC player of the week of the second consecutive week, as he averaged 30.5 points per game over the two games at the Washburn Thanksgiving Classic as the Bulldogs triumphed over Newman and Washburn. He also grabbed seven rebounds in each of the two games and now leads the team in points and rebounds. His 24.7 points per game are second in the GLVC, and 6.1 rebounds per game is 17th. Against Newman on Friday he put up a season high 32 points, topping his 31 at Findlay in the season opener. Moreover, he has led the Bulldogs in points in each of the seven games this season. His career high is 35 points, which came last season against Maryville. Thomas also leads the team in three pointers with 18, while
Hunter Strait is second with ten.
Cade McKnight is second on the team in points per game with 13.3 and in rebounds with 4.8.

Turner Scott is averaging two steals per game—tied for third in the conference and is averaging 4.4 assists per game, which is seventh in the GLVC. He also tied his career high with seven assists against Newman this past Friday.

Furthermore, the Bulldogs defense has come around of late. In the win over Missouri Southern State, the #7 Lions were limited to under 45% shooting from the field—under their current season average of 48.9%. During the Washburn Classic, the Bulldogs held the Ichabods to 41.4% and held Newman under 40%.

Truman was picked eighth in the GLVC preseason poll with 138 points, while Quincy was 14
th with 49. Last season the Bulldogs finished 9-9 in GLVC play (14-15 overall) while the Hawks were just 3-15 in conference games  (9-19 overall).

The Opponent:
Truman has a long history with the Hawks, and right now the two teams are almost dead even in the all-time series as the Bulldogs hold a 62-61 lead. The Bulldogs have taken the last three meetings between the two, with the most recent being the 92-76 win at Quincy on February 23. The last time the Hawks visited Kirksville was February 9, a 28 point victory for the Bulldogs 85-57.

The Hawks are led by Tanner Stuckman who is averaging 20 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game. The redshirt junior forward scored a season high 28 with 11 rebounds against Cedarville in the season opener. Austin Dowling is second on the team with 14 points per game and leads with five assists per game—tied for third in the GLVC.

So far this season the Hawks are 3-2 with a 3OT victory over Cedarville as well as wins over St. Louis College of Pharmacy and MacMurray College.

Truman will conclude their 2019 calendar year on the 20th against Northwest Missouri State in Maryville. The Bearcats defeated the Bulldogs 87-60 last season en route to a perfect season and national title.
