Game 1 Box Score \ Game 2 Box Score

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -  The Drury Panthers scored 11 runs in each game on Saturday and won the first two of a three-game series with the Truman Baseball team on Saturday. Drury won the opener 11-5 and the nightcap 11-1. The teams return for the finale on Sunday at noon.

Game 1 Recap:
Truman got off to a great start. Drury had runners at second and third with one out in the first. A fly ball was lifted to center and after the catch by Mason King, he fired a strike to third to nail the runner before the other runner crossed the plate.

The Bulldogs then chased starter Kaleb Schmidt by sending nine batters to the plate in the bottom of the first and scoring three times. Schmidt couldn't find his control as he
issued six walks in the inning.

Drury struck back with a pair of runs in the second and then got to Truman starter Connor McKenna in the fifth when they put up a seven-spot to take control. The Panthers added two in the eighth before Truman got a pair in the bottom of the ninth.

Steven Bradbury was 3-for-5 and Holden Missey was 2-for-4.

Game 2 Recap:
Tom Tewes pitched a complete game for Drury as they scored six runs in the eighth to end the game early 11-1. Adam Stolley connected on his second home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth to account for Truman's run.

Drury scored once in the first and three times in the fourth and led 5-0 before Stolley's blast to right center field.

Aaron Mann was 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Panthers and Reid Wilson had two hits for Truman.
