KIRKSVILLE, Mo.--The Truman Swimming teams return to the pool this weekend as they take on McKendree Friday and Lewis/UMSL in the UMSL tri-meet on Saturday. The action will start at 1 o'clock Friday and noon on Saturday.
The Women's team opened their season with a win over William Jewell on the 9th. Truman has won the past two meetings against McKendree, in 2017 and 2019. Last year at the UMSL tri-meet the Bulldogs finished first ahead of UMSL and Maryville. The Bulldogs last saw Lewis in 2016, a commanding 185-76 victory. The Flyers will be the second opponent for the Bulldogs at the UMSL tri-meet.
The Men's team dropped their first dual against WJC. McKendree has taken the last two meetings in this series, and the Bulldogs will look to reverse that trend. Last year in the UMSL tri-meet the Bulldogs finished second to the Tritons but ahead of Maryville. This year the Bulldogs will face UMSL and Lewis--seeing the Flyers for the first time since 2016.
No spectators will be allowed at either event. For complete guidelines on the UMSL tri-meet, see the attached document.
