O'FALLON, Ill.—The Truman Swimming Teams took on Division I Saint Louis University and GLVC rival McKendree in a tri-meet Friday afternoon, and the Bulldogs fell to both the Billikens and Bearcats. The women fell to McKendree 165-119 and Saint Louis 193-87; while the men fell to SLU 205-66 and McKendree 222-62. For full results, click here.

The Bulldogs took first in the 400 medley relay as Emma Brabham, Emily Traube, Holly Olson and Meg Herevoh finished with a finals time of 3:57.13; more than a second ahead of the second place team. In the 200 freestyle, Herevoh placed third with a finals time of 1:57.58—just .29 over her seed time. Later in the 500 freestyle, she also beat her seed time by over four seconds as she finished second with a finals time of 5:11.97. Lexi Poe finished fourth and Kylie Strobl finished fifth in the 200 free—but Strobl beat her seed time of 1:59.78 with a finals time of 1:58.74. Strobl also beat her seed time in the 200 backstroke, where she finished with a finals time of 2:11.8. Brabham finished second in the 100 backstroke with a finals time of 58.69, and she also won the 200 breaststroke with a finals time of 2:27.78. Traube won the 100 breaststroke with a finals time of 1:07.63—beating her seed time of 1:08.33. Traube also finished third in the 100 freestyle with a finals time of 53.52.

Mile McIntyre had a great swim in the 100 breaststroke, finishing sixth overall but beating his seed time by over three seconds with a finals time of 1:00.56. A.J. Kohler finished fourth in the 200 butterfly with a finals time of 1:56.83, beating his seed time by almost four seconds. In the 100 freestyle Jacob Pocivasek squeezed just under his seed time of 47.91 with a finals time of 47.89—placing sixth overall. Gavin Bergmann also beat his seed time with finals time of 49.71—placing ninth overall. Alex Burkhardt also beat his seed time of 51.89 by .6 seconds with a finals time of 51.29.

The Bulldogs will be back in action next Friday as they take on Saint Ambrose in Kirksville.
