INDIANAPOLIS--The Truman Baseball team began their third series of the year this weekend in the capital of Indiana, falling 7-1 to Indianapolis. Kory Carter brought the lone run across of the Bulldogs, launching a solo homer in the fourth inning. Connor McKenna got the start for the Bulldogs and gave up four runs, all earned, in six innings of work. He took the loss to drop to 0-3 while Reid Werner got the win to move to 2-1.
With the score 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Carter launched his solo shot to get the Bulldogs back within a run. However, the Greyhounds would answer with a run in the bottom of the fourth and another in the sixth before adding three in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
The teams will be back in action tomorrow at 11 AM CT at Great Park in Westfield for a doubleheader.
