KIRKSVILLE, Mo.--The Truman Men's Soccer team fell 3-0 to Indianapolis Friday afternoon, dropping their third straight game. The Bulldogs offense struggled to find a rhythm against the undefeated Greyhounds, who have yet to lose this season.
UIndy got on the board in the 14th minute as Seth Ward took a pass from Alejandro Steinwascher and put it past Truman keeper
Julian Echeverri. Just about eight minutes later Truman had their first good scoring threat as
Jonah Bridges attempted the second Bulldog shot of the game and it bounced so that Truman retained possession.
Ian McCluskey attempted his lone shot of the game, but it was corralled by Greyhound keeper Demetrios Karousos. Echeverri made one of his two saves in the 37th minute, stopping an effort from Steinwascher. Just 16 seconds later UIndy grabbed their second as Cole Rainwater beat Echeverri to increase the lead to 2-0; which was the score at halftime.
In the 57th minute Steinwascher took the ball nearly the entire length of the field and scored unassisted.
The Bulldogs will look to get back on the win column Sunday as they host Lewis. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
