QUINCY, Ill. – The Truman Swimming teams dominated conference opponent Quincy University in a pair of dual swims on Friday evening. The women won 11 races for a 161-26 win and the men won five events and took the dual 101-80. The teams return to action on Saturday at home facing McKendree.
The trio of Adelaide Reaser,
Emily Traube and
Meg Heveroh won two events each. Reaser won the 500 free (5:11.82) and the 200 IM (2:11.63). Traube claimed the 50 free (25.04) and 100 free (54.02) while Heveroh won the 100 fly (1:01.90) and 200 free (2:04.91).
Other women event wins were by Chloe Myers (100 breast/1:08.55),
Natalie Nguyen (100 back/1:01.43) and
Sidney Durbin (1000 free/11:22.72).
AJ Kohler and
Jaxson Mahlstadt were double winners on the men's side. Kohler took the 200 free in 1:42.63 and the 100 free in 47.27. Mahlstadt was first in both the 200 IM (2:00.52) and 100 breast (1:02.52).
The other event win on the men's side was the 200 free relay swam by Kohler,
Jacob Pocivasek,
Adam Vaske and Evan Grinter.
