Bulldog Swimming Falls To McKendree On Saturday

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The nationally ranked McKendree swimming teams defeated the Truman Bulldogs on Saturday. The #4 Bearcats on the men's side downed Truman 166-38, while the #13 women defeated the Bulldogs 118-84. Truman will wrap up their 2022 calendar with the Phoenix Fall Classic in Chicago starting on November 18th.
 
AJ Kohler had the only first place finish for Truman in the men's portion of the meet. Kohler won the 200 free with a time of 1:40.79, touching the wall a good seven seconds ahead of McKendree's Kadence Griffin. It was Kohler's best time in the event this season.
 
Jaxson Mahlstadt and Jacob Pocivasek had second place showings. Mahlstadt with a personal best 4:15.10 in the 400 IM and Pocivasek with a 21.27 time in the 50 free.
 
The McKendree women won six races comparted to Truman's five in a tightly contested meet.
 
The four individuals that won swims for the Bulldogs were Natalie Nguyen in the 100 back (1:00.74), Emily Traube in the 100 free (53.50), Chloe Myers in the 100 breast (1:07.91) and Adelaide Reaser in the 400 IM (4:29.84). Reaser was second in the 500 free with a time of 5:08.95.
 
The Bulldog women also won the 400 medley relay swam by Jahmia Harley, Myers, Holly Olson and Traube.
