Men's Swimming Returned To Action Against Missouri S&T

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman State men's swimming team fell 159-45 in their first action of 2023 on Saturday at the Pershing Natatorium. A.J. Kohler was the victor in the 200 free while he swam the leadoff leg with Evan Grinter, Adam Vaske and Jacob Pocivasek in the winning 200 free relay.
 
Kohler timed 1:42.25 in the 200 free to best Missouri S&T's Aidan Walters to the touch wall (1:43.15) for the Bulldogs lone individual win on the afternoon.
 
Pocivasek placed third in the 50 free with a time of 21.76 and Vaske was third in the 100 free at 49.49.
 
In the relay, Pocivasek posted the fastest split time of 21.43 in the anchor spot to help the Bulldogs to the first place finish. Kohler swam 21.75, Grinter 22.03 and Vaske at 22.51.
 
The Bulldogs will swim two more GLVC teams this weekend as they will have a rematch with William Jewell (Mo.) College on Friday evening in Pershing Natatorium (5 p.m.) before heading to St. Louis to face the Tritons on Saturday. The Cardinals defeated the Bulldogs 121-83 back on October 8th.
