KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman State Swimming teams concluded their regular season competition this weekend by hosting William Jewell and traveling to Missouri-St. Louis for a pair of meets.Â
Celebrating Senior Day on Friday, the Bulldogs dropped their duals with William Jewell College. The women lost 114-89 to the Cardinals and the men fell 157-47.
Adelaide Reaser and Kylie Strobl won individual events for the women and the relay team of Reaser, Meg Heveroh, Emily Traube and Kaitlyn McDaniel took the 400 free relay. Reaser won the 400 IM in 4:31.88 and was second in the 1000 free with a time of 10:27.70. Strobl claimed the 200 free in 2:00.23 and was third in the 100 back.Â
AJ Kohler had the lone win on the men's side as he swam 1:41.37 to touch first in the 200 free. Jaxson Mahlstadt set a personal best with a second place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:14.76 and Evan Grinter swam a PR in the 50 free with a time of 22.14.
On Saturday, the team's travelled to Missouri-St. Louis for a dual. The women lost 144-60 to the Tritons and the men were defeated 151-51.
Kohler was a double-winner on Saturday as he took first in the 200 free (1:43.67) and first in the 100 butterfly (52.17).
The women's wins came from Holly Olson in the 100 Fly (59.84) and Reaser in the 500 free (4:55.05).
The Bulldogs will begin competition in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on February 8th in Evansville, Indiana.
