KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Jack Knust's unassisted goal 10 minutes into the second half leveled the score and allowed the Truman State Bulldogs to draw even with the Rockhurst Hawks in a GLVC league match on Friday afternoon at Stokes Stadium.
Rockhurst struck first in the 26th minute when Jeremiah Musa fed Sam McIntosh deep in the penalty area and McIntosh put on a nifty move to score into the top right corner to put Rockhurst up 1-0.
The Bulldogs could not take advantage of the strong west wind in the first half as they had no shots on goal and just one, that hit the crossbar in the first 45 minutes.
Knust gained possession on the right side and motored his way down the field before beating the Hawks keeper for the equalizer in the 55th minute. It was his third goal of the season.
Both teams had minimal chances the remainder of the match with shots favoring Rockhurst 11-5 and 7-1 on goal.
Truman State will host William Jewell on Sunday at noon.
