QUINCY, Ill. - Truman State baseball suffered a tough loss at No. 8 Quincy 20-7 in the final matchup of the four-game series.
The Hawks scored four in the first and second innings with two home runs, and Truman cut the lead to two with a Dylan Thompson sacrifice fly and a Holden Missey RBI double.
Quincy hit another home run in the third to make it 6-2.
Missey hit a double to right center that scored Luke Turner in the fifth. Quincy scored six more in the same inning to go up nine.
Tyler Tieman brought Tal Dean home with a sacrifice fly before the Hawks exploded for eight runs in the sixth.Â
Grant Beck and Tal Dean each hit RBI singles, with Tal Dean's driving in two.
Tal Dean, Holden Missey, and Luke Turner each recorded three hits. Dean and Missey both had two RBI in the game.
Luke Roussel, Will Fromm, PJ Jerszynski, and Grant Beck all had a hit. Beck, Tyler Tieman, and Dylan Thompson drove in runs.
The Bulldogs play next at Missouri S&T on March 31-April 2.
