BOLIVAR, Mo. - The Truman State Tennis team fell 6-1 to Southwest Baptist University on Sunday afternoon in their second Great Lakes Valley Conference dual match. The Bulldogs step outside of conference play for two home duals later this week against Upper Iowa on Wednesday and Fort Hays (Kan.) State on Friday.

The three doubles matches all went to the Bearcats by scores of 6-2, 6-2 and 6-1.

In singles play, it was Sydney Dial moving up from her normal five spot to the four singles match that provided the victory for the Bulldogs. Dial played her best match of her collegiate career as according to head coach Steve Smith, "covered the court and kept good pace on the ball" as she gutted out a third set super tie-breaker 10-5 to pick up the win over Polina Paunova. 

It was Dial's team-leading 10th singles win of the season as she improves to 9-2 in singles bouts contest during duals this year.
