CHESTERFIELD, Mo. - Truman State baseball fell 17-10 to Maryville in a high-scoring affair.
Luke Turner got things started with a two-run home run in the first that brought Tal Dean home.
The Saints scored five in the second and third to make it 5-2, and Truman got the lead back in the fourth and fifth with Jack Darwin scoring on a Grant Beck groundout, a Luke Turner RBI single, a Dylan Thompson RBI single, and Holden Missey scoring on a Jack Darwin groundout.
Maryville scored six in the fifth, and Holden Missey hit a home run in the sixth to cut the lead to two.Â
The Saints scored six in the seventh and eighth to secure the win.
Luke Turner went 3-5 with three RBI, two runs, and a home run.
Tal Dean, Holden Missey, and Dylan Thompson each recorded two hits. Missey drove in four runs and his home run ties the all-time Truman career home run record with 33.
Jack Darwin, Dakota Spicer, Grant Beck, and Simon Murray all had a hit.Â
