KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman State Bulldogs fell In game one of their series against ranked Illinois Springfield 13-3 on Friday.
UIS started off hot, going up 6-0 after two innings.
Dylan Thompson got the Bulldogs on the board with a solo home run in the second inning, cutting the lead to five.
The Prairie Stars scored another four in the third and fourth to make it 10-1.
Jack Darwin hit a double to score Dylan Thompson and Grant Beck hit a double that scored Darwin.
UIS tallied on three more runs in the sixth and seventh to win by run rule.
Dylan Thompson had a great game at the plate, going 2-3 with two runs, a home run, and a triple.
Jack Darwin also went 2-3 with a run and an RBI.
Tal Dean, Holden Missey, Dakota Spicer, and Grant Beck each had a hit. Grant Beck recorded an RBI.
The Bulldogs play two more tomorrow against UIS at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
