KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State dropped the fourth and final game of the series against Missouri-St. Louis 13-7 on Saturday afternoon. The series was split 2-2.
UMSL went up 2-0 in the first and second innings before the Bulldogs scored four in the second off a Dylan Spicer single, a Grant Beck single, Spicer scoring on a fielder's choice, and Luke Turner bringing Tal Dean home with a single.
The Tritons made it a 4-3 game in the fourth and Truman tacked two more on a single from Dylan Thompson and a Tyler Tieman single in the fifth.
UMSL went up 12-6 after the sixth inning and the Bulldogs were unable to recover.
Grant Beck hit an RBI single to make it 12-7, and UMSL added their 13th run in the top of the ninth.
Luke Turner went 3-5 with an RBI and a run in the game.
Holden Missey added two more hits to his season total, going 2-5 with a run. Tyler Tieman, Dakota Spicer, and Grant Beck all went 2-5 as well. Tieman, Spicer, and Beck all recorded RBI with Beck leading the team with two.
Tal Dean, Dylan Thompson, and Will Fromm each recorded a hit. Fromm hit a double which was Truman's only extra-base hit of the game.
The Bulldogs travel to Springfield, Mo. to take on the Drury Panthers.
