SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Truman State baseball fell 9-2 in the first game of four at Drury on Friday night.
The Panthers scored nine-straight in the first, second, third, sixth, and seventh innings.
Jack Darwin drove in a run in the eighth, scoring Dylan Thompson and Tal Dean hit an RBI double to score Simon Murray to make it the 9-2 final score.
Dylan Thompson went 3-4 with a run.
Tal Dean, Holden Missey, and Dakota Spicer all had two hits each, with Dean driving in a run. Dean and Spicer also walked.
Luke Turner, Jack Darwin, Grant Beck, and Simon Murray each recorded a hit.
The Bulldogs collected three hits, stranding nine on base.
Zachry Schneider threw 4.0 innings, giving up one earned run, four runs total. He had one strikeout and one talk. Cole Eggerding gave up five earned runs in 4.0 innings, striking out three.
The Bulldogs play two Saturday, the 15th and the final game on Sunday, the 16th.
