Bulldogs Finish Up Series Against NWOSU

ALVA, Okla. - Truman State baseball took two losses on Saturday against Northwestern Oklahoma State on the road.

Game One: NWOSU 5, TSU 2

Northwestern scored three runs in the first two innings off a two-run home run and an RBI double.

Will Fromm drove in Truman's two runs of the game with a RBI singles in the fourth and sixth that scored Oliver Degenhardt twice.

The NWOSU Rangers scored two additional runs with an RBI single in the seventh and another came across on an error from Degenhardt.

Degenhardt led the Bulldogs with three hits in four at-bats. He had Truman's only extra-base hit of the game.

Fromm went 2-4 with two RBI, and Tal Dean, Luke Turner, Dylan Thompson, and Dakota Joggerst recorded hits.

Zachry Schneider threw 7.0 innings, allowing four runs with three being earned. He struck out four and walked one in 30 batters faced.

Justin Maloney threw an inning, striking out one with a hit and a run allowed.

Game Two: NWOSU 10, TSU 4

The Rangers got off to a quick start, leading 10-0 after two innings.

The Bulldogs got on the board in the third inning with Luke Roussel and Colin Mueth scoring on wild pitches. In the sixth inning, Colin Mueth singled to score Dakota Joggerst and Tal Dean drove PJ Jerszynski in with a sacrifice fly.

Luke Turner, Dylan Thompson, Dakota Joggerst, Luke Roussel, and Colin Mueth all had one hit each. Tal Dean led in RBI with two, and Mueth had one.

Truman State travels to Washburn University and Topeka, Kansas for a one-game series against the Ichabods.
