HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Truman State baseball team lost to Alabama-Huntsville 14-4 in the series finale.
Zachry Schneider made the start pitching for Truman, and the Bulldogs quickly fell into a 3-0 hole after three innings.
PJ Jerszynski made it a 3-2 game in the top of the fourth with a home run to center field that brought Tyler Tieman home.
The UAH Chargers took a 13-2 lead after the fourth and fifth innings.
In the seventh inning, Dylan Thompson gave Truman their third run of the game with a single that scored Tal Dean. Luke Turner scored on a fielder's choice in the same inning to make it a 13-4 ballgame.
Alabama-Huntsville scored their 14th run of the contest in the seventh inning, and the Chargers won by run rule.
Dylan Thompson and Jerszynski had a team-high two each for the Bulldogs. Thompson went 2-2 with an RBI and two walks. Jerszynski went 2-4 with two RBI, one run, and the home run in the fourth.
Tal Dean, Oliver Degenhardt, Tyler Tieman, and Colin Mueth all had hits in the game.
Kevin Donohue had an RBI in four at-bats.
Jaren Guck threw a scoreless sixth inning, striking out one batter.
Truman State finally returns home to take on Northern State University on March 1-3.
