COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia College dealt the Truman State Men's Soccer team its first loss of the season by a 2-0 margin Tuesday evening in Columbia.

The match remained scoreless until the 33rd minute when the Cougars' Carter Redford broke through off an assist from Brady Freeman. A second goal, this time from Freeman, put things out of reach for the Bulldogs who struggled to get much offense going on the night. Sophomore forward Corbin Clay recorded the lone shot on goal for Truman State with senior keeper Justin Olwig tallying four saves in the defeat.

Great Lakes Valley Conference action opens this Sunday for Truman State when it plays host to the University of Indianapolis at 2:30.
