KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – One of the hottest teams in the GLVC proved their worth as the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons knocked down 14 three-pointers and ran away with an 86-62 win over the Truman State Bulldogs on Saturday.
The Tritons, winners of their last six and eight of their last nine came out on fire against the Bulldogs and built up a 46-35 halftime lead. UMSL was 8-of-12 from outside in the first 20 minutes while Truman was just 4-of-11.
The second half was much of the same as UMSL shot 50% in the second half while the Bulldogs made only 28% of their second-half points.
UMSL had six players in double-figures with Matt Enright leading the way with 19 points.
Kobi Williams led Truman with 14 points.
The Bulldogs will head to Indianapolis on Thursday before returning home for the regular season finale against William Jewell at home next Saturday.
