Bulldogs Power Past Upper Iowa, 3-1

Kirksville, Mo. – The Truman State Men's Soccer team used a strong offensive showing to defeat Upper Iowa 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Stokes Stadium. Three different Bulldogs found the back of the net as Truman improved to 2-4-1 (1-4 GLVC).

Truman opened the scoring in the 9th minute when Oliver Doyle finished a setup from Nathan Grewe to make it 1-0. Upper Iowa equalized in the 29th minute, but the Bulldogs regained momentum right before halftime as Thomas Edrington, just four minutes after entering the match, scored off a pass from Jacob Panagos to give Truman a 2-1 lead at the break.

The Bulldogs added insurance early in the second half when Drake Thompson scored unassisted in the 54th minute with an absolutely amazing shot in the upper left corner of the net.
