(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The No. 10 Truman volleyball team couldn't get its offense clicking on Wednesday night in a top-10 battle at Central Missouri, as the 8th-ranked Jennies swept the Bulldogs, 3-0 (-15, -16, -17).
The Bulldogs (16-3, 5-2 MIAA) held a 6-5 lead in the first set, but it was all UCM (16-3, 7-1 MIAA) from there, as Truman hit just .073 on the night. Senior Allison Barker led the 'Dogs with six kills, and a trio of other players added four each.
Truman had six aces to just two errors and out-blocked the Jennies, 8-7, but UCM hit above the .300 mark all night, finishing at .322. Allie Huffman and Paula Harris had 11 kills apiece to help snap Truman's nine-match winning streak.
Senior libero Casey Bruno paced the Bulldogs defensively with 14 digs.
Truman returns to Pershing Arena on Saturday night to host Nebraska-Omaha at 4 pm.
