Truman Drops Final Home Match, 2-0

Box Score | Season Stats

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - Second-ranked Central Missouri's Becky Lackey scored twice in the first 17 minutes, and the Truman women's soccer offense got off just four shots in a 2-0 loss to UCM on Thursday afternoon in its 2010 home finale.

Lackey scored off a rebound in the 7th minute and added a floater in the 17th minute to give UCM (17-0, 15-0 MIAA) all it would need on a windy, cool Thursday afternoon. Truman (9-3-5, 8-2-5 MIAA) took four shots in the first-half but the two teams combined for just three shots in the second half to play to the 2-0 final.

UCM outshot Truman, 9-4, for the match, with Bulldog junior Megan Buri (Parkville, Mo., Park Hill South) recording the 'Dogs' lone shot on goal.

The Bulldogs, who are currently sixth in the region, close the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Missouri Western, starting at 2 pm. Truman and Missouri Western tied, 0-0, earlier this season in Kirksville.
