Truman State Women's Soccer has announced its complete schedule for the upcoming season, and it is one of the more demanding slates the program has put together in recent years. Seventeen matches spread across August, September, and October will test the Bulldogs week in and week out, with ten home contests giving Kirksville fans plenty of chances to see the team up close before a postseason run at the end of October.
The season opens during Student and Community Appreciation Week with a Thursday evening match at Stokes Stadium against Davenport University on August 27 at 5:00 p.m. Two days later the Bulldogs are back on the pitch for a Saturday noon kickoff at Bulldog Soccer Park against Purdue University Northwest, giving supporters back-to-back home matches right out of the gate.
The early September stretch is particularly busy. The Bulldogs host Harris-Stowe State University on Wednesday, September 2, then welcome Drury University to Bulldog Soccer Park three days later. The schedule then sends Truman on the road for the first time, with a Wednesday evening trip to Kansas City to face Rockhurst University on September 9. The Bulldogs close out that week back in Kirksville on Sunday, September 13, hosting Maryville University at noon.
A road trip in mid-September sees Truman travel to Springfield on September 16 to take on University of Illinois Springfield before returning home for Family Weekend on September 20, when Lincoln University visits Bulldog Soccer Park. It is one of the more anticipated home dates of the season, with family members of current players invited to campus for a full weekend of activities surrounding the athletic competitions at home.
The final week of September and the first two weeks of October represent the most grueling stretch on the schedule. The Bulldogs hit the road for two straight matches, traveling to William Jewell College in Liberty on September 23, then to McKendree University in Lebanon on September 26. A brief return to Kirksville for a home match against Southwest Baptist University on September 30 is sandwiched between road trips to UMSL on October 3 and Upper Iowa University in Fayette on October 7.
The home stretch of the regular season brings the Bulldogs back to Kirksville for three straight matches. Missouri S&T visits Bulldog Soccer Park on October 14, followed by Senior Day on October 17 against Lewis University. Senior Day is always one of the most emotional afternoons of the soccer calendar, honoring the players completing their Bulldog careers before a home crowd. Quincy University then comes to Stokes Stadium on October 21 before Truman closes out the regular season with a road trip to University of Indianapolis on October 24.
The season concludes with the GLVC Quarterfinals on October 31, with bracket placement and location to be determined by regular season seeding. All home matches will stream live at glvcsn.com/truman, with live stats available throughout the season at trumanbulldogs.com.
