Nauman, Rock Recognized on All-GLVC Women’s Soccer Team

Kirksville, Mo. – Two members of the Truman State women's soccer program have been recognized by the Great Lakes Valley Conference for their performance and leadership during the 2025 season. Junior forward Quinn Nauman earned All-GLVC Third Team honors, while senior Gretchen Rock was named Truman's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award recipient.

Nauman was the driving force behind the Bulldogs' attack this fall, leading the team in goals (5), assists (4), and points (14) across 16 starts. Her balanced production ranked among the league's most consistent offensive performers, and she provided a spark in several key results, including a game-decider against Lewis and a goal in Truman's 3–2 road victory at Indianapolis.

The junior forward finished the season with 43 total shots, 21 of them on target, and had a direct hand in nearly half of Truman's 21 goals. Nauman's technical ability and work rate made her one of the GLVC's most dangerous wide attackers, earning her the first All-Conference selection of her career.

"Quinn was a difference-maker for us all season," said head coach Mike Cannon. "She combined effort with execution and was a constant threat in the final third. Her growth as a leader and playmaker has been tremendous."

Rock, meanwhile, was chosen as the Bulldogs' James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honoree, recognizing her for exemplary conduct, academic standing, and community involvement. The senior midfielder made an impact on and off the field this season, scoring her first collegiate goal in Truman's 4–2 win over Southwest Baptist. Her veteran presence, positive attitude and leadership earned respect across the conference.

"Gretchen represents everything that's great about Truman soccer," Cannon added. "She's selfless, supportive, and committed to her teammates every single day."

The GLVC's major awards went to Rockhurst's Anna Lantz (Offensive Player of the Year), Missouri–St. Louis's Taylor Martin (Defensive Player of the Year), Drury's Katy Fitzler (Goalkeeper of the Year), Maryville's Sophia Carter (Freshman of the Year), and UMSL's Stephen Cavallo (Coach of the Year).

Truman concluded the 2025 season with a 5-6-5 record (5-5-4 GLVC), highlighted by wins over Southwest Baptist, Upper Iowa, Lewis, and William Jewell. With key returners, including Nauman, the program looks to build on this year's momentum heading into 2026.
