Bulldog Wrestling Wraps Up Season Opening Weekend

CONWAY, Ark. – Ryan Maus and Max Muench each won their bracket and five other Bulldogs placed at the Central Baptist College Invitational on Saturday. The Bulldogs were third out of nine teams.

Individual results were not available at this moment but Ryan Maus took first in the 149-weight class and Max Muench was first in 184. In addition, Alex Maus and Devon Fenstermaker both placed second, Josh Wells finished third and Zach Hayes along with Helmut Rentschler placed fourth at the meet.

The Bulldogs will host Hannibal-LaGrange on Thursday night in Pershing Arena. First match is slated for 7:30 p.m.

CONWAY, Ark.  – The Truman Wrestling team picked up dual win number one on Friday night as they began their season against Central Baptist College (Ark.) The Bulldogs won 26-24 and will compete in the CBC Invitational on Saturday.

Each team picked up two pin fall victories with Truman's brother combination of Alex and Ryan Maus going back-to-back with fall wins at 141 and 149. Josh Wells, Max Muench, Helmut Rentschler and Joel Geders picked up the other wins for the Bulldogs in the tightly contested dual.
