RECAP: Three Of Four Place At Central's Last Chance Open

PELLA, Iowa – The Truman Wrestling team had three of their four student-athletes place at the Central College Last Chance Open on Saturday.
 
Zach Taylor was the runner up in the 165-pound weight class. Taylor defeated Jackson Grissell (Central) 7-4 in the semifinals but he was defeated by fall by Tad Griffith (Loras) in the title match.
 
Nate Wunderlich was the consolation champion after going 3-1 in the 157-pound class. He lost his opening match to Ryan Howerton (Graceland) 12-2 but then reeled off three straight wins. He edged Spencer Easley (Cornell) 13-12, Joseph Pasquesi (Cornell) 9-6 and William Engel (Graceland) by fall at the 5:28 mark.
 
Zach Williard finished fourth at 133. He defeated Jason Padilla (Simpson) 12-2 in his opening match but lost 5-3 to Mason McMillen (Loras). In the third place match, Zach Thompson defeated Williard 5-3.
 
Vin Kriegshauser lost both of his matches by technical fall in the 174-pound bracket. Malik Milazzo (Dubuque) won 18-2 and Jacob Sherzer (Cornell) won by the same score.
 
Truman will have a dual with Missouri Baptist on Tuesday night in St. Louis. Match time is 7 p.m.
